Rick Aurora
Gracious Good Evening, I've been driving my Reatta with a 'door ajar' warning since I acquired the car in July. Both doors are locked while in motion so I am not too concerned but would like to know how to fix this.
Philbo
Not sure. I can try to look tomorrow though.
Padgett
Sounds like the door switch has shorted. Is just a single wire that is spring loaded to ground. Pushing in he plunger should turn off unless broke/disconnected.
Rick Aurora Posted October 4, 2021 Topic Author Share Posted October 4, 2021 Thanks Phil and Padgett. I'll have my mechanic check it out when I take it into for service.
DAVES89
There are 2 door switches. The one in the jam at the engine side of the door jam is for the courtesy lights. The one you are after is the one that is inside the door and runs down to the latch. There is a code you can run to test which door is your issue, but I don't remember the code.
