I have made a key with a nailfile before. 90 has VATS. Proper key will turn but must also have proper resistor to start. First thing I do for a new car is make sure I have at least two sets of keys that work.1 point

I had an 89 that developed a similar condition out of the blue also and it turned out to be the plug at the neutral safety switch on the transaxle had become corroded and green. Cleanup and contact cleaner cured the problem and has not returned in 18 months.1 point

Ronnie's web site with all the information he has for us is way better then any web site out there. Think about how much a shop charges to troubleshoot and you get it here for free. How about we do a fund raiser to offset these costs? I will match any single donation up to $50.00 to a total maximum donation by me of $300.00. Please help.1 point
