Nope, the mounts are solid and the cradle is good, just the bushings are bad and if he finds the rack is leaking, I'll have it replaced and if the engine has to be lowered to do it, replace the mounts as part of the job. BTW, has anyone out there replaced a steering rack on a Reatta? Was unbolting and lowering the engine necessary?1 point

From what I can tell from following all the forum posts, all early models had the black horn button but not all the ones with the black horn button had suede on the sides of the seats.1 point

That is the early one but depends on the last four of the serial number and I forget the exact number but was in the 1700s.1 point

I've replaced one on a curb before. This one looks OK. GM are so notorious for going bad that I always just kept an extra in stock. BTW this is for early 3800s, After 91 they used a different one.1 point

It might work great but I would be concerned about the drill bit hanging and breaking the brittle plastic end off the cable rendering the cable useless. I'm a machinist and I can see that happening. It looks like it is an expensive alternative to a piece of wire tied around the arm to hold the cable in place. A piece of stainless wire would probably outlast most of our Reattas.1 point
