ship Posted May 11, 2022 Share Posted May 11, 2022 Gasoline prices in my town are currently at $4.409 - $4.719 regular depending how close the station is to the highway (closer to highway = higher price). Weymouth, MA, is unique in that the town has an old ordinance that does not allow any of us to pump our own gas at the pump...a gas station employee is the only one permitted to do it. The only answer I can come up with to this situation is, "stupid is as stupid does". There's got to be some political graft going on somewhere here. PS: Deisel hit $6.129 here today. Funny enough, gas is actually a good twenty cents cheaper in central Illinois than southern Illinois. The gas tax in Illinois is over fifty cents a gallon. I’ll be taking my parents to St. Louis this weekend and bringing my gas cans with me for when I drive over one of those “money saving bridges” us Illinoisans love.
