The '90 and '91 model Reatta use a different type of sway bar end link.

I replaced my sway bar end links on my '88 model with a kit I purchased on eBay from a company called Energy Suspensions . They have polyurethane bump stops and all hardware needed is included. The kit I used is a universal kit, part # 98120. The kit worked perfectly.

My old bushing were deteriorated and crumbled to the point where they were loose on the sway bar and control arms. I could immediately tell a big difference in the handling of my car. The car has a lot less roll and bounce when cornering. A good improvement in handling for little money spent. Cost was about $ 25 bucks including shipping.















Installation is pretty much straight forward but there is a trick to assembling them. Start by sliding an old washer over the bold first (used as a spacer) then a new larger washer then the bushing. Be sure to turn the new washer with the cup side facing the bushing and always turn the smaller step in the bushing toward the contorl arm as shown in the photo above.

Next, install the bolt through the lower control arm and then add a new bushing and larger washer and then the spacer tube.

Then, add a new large washer and new bushing. Slide the bolt through the sway bar and install the last bushing and a large washer. This likely will only leave a few threads for the nut to catch on. Torque everything down paying attention to getting the bushings centered in the sway bar and control arms. This should seat everything. Take the top nut off, and install another washer or two if needed to take up the extra threads so you can really compress the bushings. When finished, my bushings were compressed to where they slightly bulged out over the washers.
