Shifter Indicator Panel Removal

The following instructions are for removing the Shifter Indicator Panel Assembly.

These procedures were done on a 1990 Reatta, While other years may be similar, I cannot guarantee it, I cannot be responsible for any damages that may occur during this procedure, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

Begin by following the Center Console Removal Instructions to remove the parts necessary to get at the shifter indicator panel.

Below is what you will see when the center console is removed.

Step 1-removing shifter knob:
Remove the restrainer pin from the shifter knob.

Lift up on the knob and set aside.

Now you are left with this:

Step 2-removing the gear indicator:
On the bottom of the indicator you will notice 4 screw bolts on each corner, remove all 4 with a socket or wrench.

Once all the bolts are removed lift up on the indicator and remove the panel.

Replace the shifter Indicator Panel by reversing the procedure.
