Reatta Owners Journal

If you've ever broken a latch somewhere on your Reatta, and were able to find a replacement but the replacement latch had the wrong lock, here's how to get the lock cylinder out.

You must have the correct key for the lock to get the cylinder out!

  1. Put the latch assembly in the closed position.

  2. Push the silver tumbler in.

  3. Insert the key into the lock.

The picture below illustrates the silver tumbler when it is pressed in, and the key is inserted therefore making it flush with the rest of the cylinder.

  4. Finally, rotate the lock cylinder clockwise to the 10 o'clock position, and pull out.

To install a new lock cylinder, simply do the inverse of these steps.

Hope others find this helpful!
