Texas Pete
Hi Guys (and gals?) I have recently been gifted my mother-in-laws 1990 Reatta convertable with just under 24k miles. She owned it from new. So far the only issue it has is the ac is intermittent. It seems to work OK initially then after a short stop it blows hot. When I get time I will look at the diagnostics for the sensors, but any other useful tips? It is still running on R-12 so I am thinking about converting it to R-134a. Is there a list anywhere of the O-rings needed for all the connections in the system? It was taken to a garage at some point and they said it may be the hi pressure switch, which I know are no longer available. Are there any alternatives? Need ac in the Texas heat! Ronnie
Welcome to the ROJ forum Tex! I would try adding a can of R12 before spending the money to change to R134a. Might be all you need.
