My thought is that they would draw less current and put less load on the electrical system. I had seen posts about mixed results for the headlights, but I wondered about tail lights. Ronnie Posted September 24, 2019 Share Posted September 24, 2019 Welcome to the forum Red! I think LED bulbs have been used. I don't think it is as simple as buying the bulb and plugging it in. I believe you have to add a resistor to the circuit to get the turn signals to work properly. I have never tried it myself. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you want more information I would suggest doing a search keying in LED and for an author try kdirk. I know he was involved in looking at that.
